At some point I need to work on an introduction to AppV 4.5 but today is a short post on an error I saw while installing the AppV Management Server.
In order for the installation of the AppV Management Server to succeed, I had to install the IIS 6 Management Compatibility role services.

To note, I did not have to install IIS 6 compatibility. Per the other user's comment, I installed just the management scripts & tools component in IIS7 with Server 2k8 R2, and it finished installing without the error. 🙂
Yes, Amy. For 2008 R2 this menu selection is renamed like you described.
